PROFESSIONALS FROM THE FOOD AND GASTRONOMY INDUSTRY IN GDAŃSK AMBEREXPO

140 exhibitors from 13 countries – leading Polish producers, processors, importers of fish and seafood, dairy plants, producers of packaging, labeling systems, professional chemicals, storage systems, as well as professional lectures, seminars and conferences attracted over 4,000 industry visitors from 23 countries. This year’s fair events were a response to the interest and demand of customers who are aware of the need to get closer to nature and care for health, and are looking for exceptional articles.

This biennial specialist trade fair for the fish industry, the only one in Poland and one of the largest in Central Europe, presents a wide range of fish products, machinery, equipment, packaging, cleaning agents, specialist vehicles and services. This year’s event, in addition to traditional fresh, frozen, canned, smoked and pickled products, also included fish delicatessen and convenience products. In the field of aquaculture, there were companies breeding sea bream, sea bass, carp and trout as well as producers of fodder, systems for storing and transporting fish as well as equipment and equipment for breeding. The fair was a great opportunity to present interesting market novelties, such as premium tinned wild bluefin tuna caught with the traditional ALMADRABA method, or products without preservatives, sweeteners and dyes (including jelly herring and herring in tomato sauce).

FOODEXPO 2019

Producers and distributors of beverages, spices, flour, confectionery products, soups and wines presented their offer at the FOODEXPO fair, held for the second time in synergy with the POLFISH fair. From the dairy sector (Mleczna Rewia fair), leading Polish dairy plants and cooperatives (SM Mleczwart, SM Września, KeSeM, OSM Maluta, OSM Czarnków) participated in the Fair. Thanks to many years of cooperation and the support of the National Association of Dairy Cooperatives, the participation of producers and companies related to the processing of dairy products was co-financed from the Milk Promotion Fund.

In addition to dairy, cereal and dietary products, regional products as part of the Pomeranian Culinary Heritage project – products of small and medium-sized enterprises, produce from farms and organic farming, local processing plants and farms also had their presentation.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The fair is primarily an opportunity to learn about the latest technological solutions and a chance to establish business contacts important for the company’s development. This year, the fair offer included innovative smoking devices, cooling and packaging systems, waste disposal equipment, equipment for gastronomy and shops, as well as companies offering comprehensive design of technological lines and implementation of production systems. The companies also offered: disposable clothing, footwear, gloves, safety glasses, cleaning agents, washing and drying devices, containers and packaging for processing and catering companies, vans and utility vehicles for gastronomy, the latest solutions in food transport – vehicle monitoring, innovative software and cooling units and mobile stores.
